We have treated ‘Overcoming delays through God’sintervention’, today we are going to be looking at Divine intervention that
overcomes the delays, 1
Chronicles 4:9.
It is highly
encouraging to see Jabez choosing to call on the God of Isreal as a solution to
his predicament. Positive steps like this never fail to attract God’s
attention. Whatever you may be passing through today, do not:
·
Think it is the end of your life
·
Allow the devil to discourage you from seeking the Lord for solutions
·
Neglect prayers
·
Allow anybody to bring a negative solution that
may damn your soul on the last day.
·
Isolate yourself from spiritual leaders that
will give you godly council
·
Forget God and more especially
·
Think that your case is difficult for
God to
solve.
Rather, all you need to get divine intervention as Jabez is prayers of faith and “the prayer of faith shall save” you in all delay.
This however presupposes that certain scripture obligations and
conditions are fulfilled. To offer effectual prayer, it is imperative to:
i.
Be converted: it is necessary to accept Jesus
Christ as your Lord and Saviour before you can be entitled to any divine
blessing. John 9:31
ii.
Know God’s premises relevant to your need. God’s promises are the believer’s points of
reference in prayer. Matthew 24: 35
iii.
Personalize and actualize the promises. You do
this by using them in effective, fervent prayers. James 5:16-18.
iv.
Pray in faith. You. You pray in faith by simply
believing that your heavenly Father knows you needs even before you ask him,
and will therefore answer according to his promises. Matthew 7:7-11
v.
Pray with importunity. To be importunate is to
unrelentingly persistent.
It is to continue asking until the
answer comes. This is not vain repetition but a manifestation of the faith that
can not be denied. Luke 8: 1-8
When you break your shackles of delay you pave the way for your passage
into the limelight of success, breakthrough and all-round achievement. This
makes you a celebrated hero of faith of
your time. This is not a merely ideal but unattainable scenario; it a blessing
that can be yours NOW!
“For verily
I said unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed,
and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall
believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have
whatsoever he saith” Matthew 11:24.
